Travel back in time to the Isle of Wight’s premier family dinosaur attraction. Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Sandown Bay. Located on the east of the Island. Dinosaur Isle offers hands on exhibits, fascinating fossils and life-sized dinosaurs.

The museum is located on Culver Parade. It was designed by local architects Rainey Petrie Johns in the shape of a giant pterodactyl.

Car parking

There is a public carpark behind Dinosaur Isle available for visitors to use. Details of the carpark are on our parking services map.

There is a discount for visitors of the museum. Present your parking receipt on admission and the discount will be applied to your ticket.

Accessible and family friendly

The museum is easily accessible by wheelchair or for families with small children. Baby changing facilities are available.

Please be aware that there are sound effects in the two museum galleries and these can seem loud. For those with very sensitive hearing a pair of ear-defenders or ear-plugs may be necessary. We have some ear-defenders available at reception, if you forget yours.

We welcome Registered Assistance Dogs inside the museum building.
